TRIM Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of TRIM, a subscription tracking app published by Ship Your App. By installing or using TRIM you agree to them. If you do not agree, please delete the app.

Last updated

These terms apply to the TRIM app only. They are separate from the terms covering Ship Your App's development services.

1. What TRIM is

TRIM is a personal record-keeping tool. You enter your subscriptions and it shows you what you are spending, tells you when renewals are coming, and can remind you before you are charged.

2. What TRIM is not

This matters, so it is worth being direct about it.

TRIM does not connect to your bank, your cards, or the services you subscribe to. It has no access to your accounts and no way to see your real transactions. Everything it shows you is calculated from what you typed in.

TRIM cannot cancel anything for you. It can remind you that a renewal is coming and, in some cases, link you to the place where you cancel. Actually cancelling is always something you do yourself, directly with that service.

TRIM is not financial advice. Spending totals, budgets and forecasts are arithmetic on your own figures, provided for your information. Decisions about your money are yours.

3. Reminders are best-effort

TRIM asks your phone's operating system to show a notification at a chosen time. Whether that notification actually arrives is up to your device, not us.

Reminders can be missed or delayed if notification permission is denied or later revoked, if battery optimisation or Low Power Mode defers background work, if the device is off or out of storage, if the operating system reschedules alarms, or if the details you entered were wrong or out of date.

You remain responsible for your own subscriptions and payments. Please do not rely on TRIM as your only safeguard against an unwanted charge. We are not liable for renewals you were charged for, trials that converted, or money spent because a reminder did not arrive or arrived late.

4. Your data is your responsibility

TRIM stores everything on your device and nowhere else. We hold no copy and cannot recover anything for you.

This means deleting the app, resetting your phone, or losing your device permanently destroys your data. TRIM includes a backup export for exactly this reason, and keeping a current backup is your responsibility. We are not liable for data lost to an uninstall, a device failure, a restore gone wrong, or a backup file you deleted or misplaced.

Backup files you create are yours to look after. Store them somewhere you trust.

5. Using the app

You may use TRIM on any device you own, for personal or business record-keeping. We ask that you do not:

  • Decompile, reverse engineer or modify the app, except where law permits it
  • Redistribute or resell it, or pass it off as your own
  • Use it for anything unlawful

TRIM, its name, design and code remain the property of Ship Your App. Installing the app grants you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use it — not ownership of it.

Everything you enter into TRIM stays yours. We claim no rights over it, which is straightforward given we never receive it.

7. Availability and changes

We may update TRIM to add features, fix problems, or keep it working with new versions of iOS and Android. We may also change or discontinue the app.

We aim not to break things you rely on, but we cannot guarantee any particular feature will exist forever, or that the app will be free of bugs. Keep a backup.

8. No warranty

TRIM is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of the information it displays.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ship Your App is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of TRIM. This includes subscription charges you wanted to avoid, lost data, and lost time.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app or its paid features, or INR 1,000.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use TRIM after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
