TRIM Privacy Policy

TRIM is a subscription tracker published by Ship Your App. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into the app.

The short version: nothing you enter into TRIM ever leaves your device. We do not have a server, we do not have an account system, and we cannot see your data. There is no version of this where we sell it, share it, or lose it in a breach, because we never receive it in the first place.

1. What we collect

Nothing.

TRIM has no sign-up, no login, and no account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details. We do not ask you to connect a bank account, and the app has no ability to do so.

We do not collect analytics. There is no crash reporting, no usage tracking, no advertising identifier, no device fingerprinting, and no third-party SDK that gathers information about you. The app contains no advertising.

2. What stays on your device

Everything you enter, including:

  • Subscription names, descriptions, prices and billing cycles
  • Start dates, renewal dates and free-trial end dates
  • Categories, colours and icons you assign
  • Your reminder preferences, currency, monthly budget and theme choice

This is stored in the app's own private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read it. We cannot read it.

As a technical matter, the Android version of TRIM does not request the internet permission at all. It has no means of transmitting your data anywhere. The iOS version requests no camera, photo library, location or tracking permissions.

3. Permissions the app asks for

TRIM requests only what it needs to remind you about renewals:

  • Notifications — so reminders can appear. Decline and the app still works; you simply will not get reminders.
  • Exact alarms and scheduling (Android) — so a reminder arrives at the time you chose rather than whenever the system feels like it.
  • Run after restart (Android) — so your scheduled reminders survive a reboot.

Reminders are built and scheduled entirely on your device by the operating system. Their contents are never sent anywhere.

4. Backups you create

TRIM can export your subscriptions to a file so you can move them to a new phone. That file is created on your device and handed to your system share sheet. Where it goes next is entirely your choice — saving it to Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email, or anywhere else.

We never receive a copy. Once you send that file somewhere, it is covered by the privacy policy of wherever you sent it, so store it somewhere you trust. The file is not encrypted and can be opened by anything that reads text, so treat it the way you would treat any personal document.

6. What Apple and Google see

TRIM is distributed through the App Store and Google Play. Those companies collect their own information about downloads, installs and, if you have opted in at the operating-system level, crash diagnostics. That collection is theirs, governed by their policies, and happens whether or not you use TRIM. We receive only aggregate, anonymous sales and download figures — never anything that identifies you.

7. Deleting your data

Delete the app. Everything goes with it.

Because your data lives only on your device, uninstalling is permanent and irreversible. There is no copy on a server for us to restore. Export a backup before you uninstall or reset your phone.

You can also delete individual subscriptions at any time inside the app.

8. Children

TRIM is a personal finance tool intended for adults, but it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age. We have no data about children because we have no data about anybody.

9. Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you.

We hold none. There is nothing for us to look up, correct or erase, because nothing ever reaches us. Your data is already entirely in your hands: it is on your device, you can export it whenever you like, and you can delete it at will.

10. Changes to this policy

If a future version of TRIM changes how information is handled, we will update this policy and change the date at the top before that version ships. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
